About Sheena Shah

Sheena Shah is a California licensed Physician Assistant. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health at UC Irvine and her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. She recently moved from Orange County to San Diego.

She has always been fascinated by how behaviors and physiological responses of the human body are intertwined. Sheena’s clinical experience includes treating patients with depression, anxiety, autism, ADD, ADHD, PTSD, insomnia, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse.

Her motivation and drive to raise mental health awareness stems from personal experience in taking care of family members with underlying mental health conditions.

Sheena’s primary goal is to focus on treating each patient as a whole, and not their diagnosis alone. She believes in going above and beyond for each patient by creating a family based environment and making her patients feel safe, comfortable, and needed. She strives to connect with and understand her patients on a deeper level in order for her to deliver the highest quality care.

In her spare time, she loves to cook and play with her puppy, Sapphire. She also loves to write motivational articles for The Huffington Post.
