About Dr. Lindsey Law

Dr. Law is a graduate of Yale University where she majored in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. Curious about how people lived outside the United States, she volunteered on a marine reserve in the Seychelles Islands helping to conserve the world’s critically endangered Hawksbill sea turtles. She loved the time she spent engrossed in nature and of course, the beautiful sunsets, but in her heart she knew she always wanted to be a physician. This lead her to Minnesota where she completed medical school at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. During medical school, Dr. Law developed an interest in understanding human emotions and behaviors and was naturally drawn to psychiatry. After bicycling across Europe from Germany to India and spending a year in Kampala, Uganda doing research on cerebral malaria, she found that despite cultural, political, religious differences, people shared a common humanity no matter where or how they lived. Somewhere along the day, she realized that the true mysteries of life did not lie waiting in distant exotic lands but were in fact hidden in plain sight, in the minds of ordinary people that touched her life. Dr. Law decided to devote her life to becoming the ultimate explorer of the mind, an investigator of human nature: a psychiatrist.

Dr. Law completed her psychiatry residency at UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior in Los Angeles, California. While there, she served as the Chief Resident for inpatient psychiatric hospital services. Using scientific evidence-based treatments combined with a holistic approach that takes into account each individual’s personal journey, Dr. Law helps adults living with a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD and substance use disorders. Mental health treatment can be a stressful experience for patients and their families.

Dr. Law is dedicated to guiding each individual through this process to help them achieve their unique mental health goals.
